Established 25 years ago, the Arizona Peruvian Paso Club Ltd has been the oldest club in Arizona dedicated to the promotion and protection of the Peruvian Paso Horse. Among the incorporators were Stan and Shirley Reese, Les and Ruth Harness, Billie Jean Reese and Martin and Joy Navin.
With camaraderie in mind and a love for this special breed of horse, club members over the years supported the club's many events - from horse shows and trail rides to fun days and early morning breakfast rides. Club members were frequent exhibitors at the Carousel Charity Horse Show, held each March at WestWorld in Scottsdale AZ.
For 25 years the APPC sponsored a Regional Horse Show, with exhibitors and their horses coming from the West Coast and the Rocky Mountain area. For the years 2003 and 2004, members traveled to Denver and participated in a joint show with the Rocky Mountain Peruvian Paso Club.
The Arizona Peruvian Paso Club Ltd (APPC) was an approved club of the American Association of Owners and Breeders of Peruvian Paso Horses. Members were staunch supporters of the AAOBPPH throughout the years.
Times have changed and we mourn the departed members who were so loyal to this club throughout the years. May they ride the clouds on their cherished Peruvian Paso Horses. Those of us who are left here on earth will join them one day on the eternal trail ride in Heaven.
