APPC Mission Statement

Established 25 years ago, the Arizona Peruvian Paso Club Ltd is the oldest club in Arizona dedicated to the promotion and protection of the Peruvian Paso Horse.  Among the incorporators were Stan and Shirley Reese, Les and Ruth Harness, Billie Jean Reese and Martin and Joy Navin.  Billie Jean is especially commended for her hard work on getting the club organized.

With camaraderie in mind and a love for this special breed of horse, club members over the years have supported the club's many events - from horse shows and trail rides to fun days and early morning breakfast rides.

The Arizona Peruvian Paso Club Ltd (APPC) was an approved club of the American Association of Owners and Breeders of Peruvian Paso Horses.  Members were staunch supporters of the AAOBPPH throughout the years.

Each year the APPC tries to sponsor a Regional Horse Show, with exhibitors and their horses coming from the West Coast and the Rocky Mountain area.  For the years 2003 and 2004, members traveled to Denver and participated in a joint show with the Rocky Mountain Peruvian Paso Club.  We were unable to sponsor a show in 2005 or 2006.  Watch this website for information for 2007!

USPHA Affiliation

With the start of the United States Peruvian Horse Association, the Arizona Peruvian Paso Club has applied for affiliation.  We are excited to be part of a new organization which will give the power of "Choice" to the Peruvian Paso world.  Please check their website at www.uspha.net.
